Frequently asked questions

How do I know which tests I need?

We can help you determine the type of testing that you need completed to meet your needs. Testing requirements depend on your product, shipping method, and industry regulations.

If you require transportation testing: We will ask about your shipping conditions, testing specification (ISTA, DOT, SEFA, etc.) and/or retail requirements (ISTA-6 for Amazon and Sam’s Club). Based on this, we will recommend the appropriate test procedure.

If you require material testing: We will ask you about the product / material properties and what you would like to test for. We provide many ASTM and TAPPI tests, as well as custom designed tests to meet your needs.

What should I send you for testing?

When you contact us for a quote we will let you know what we will need to conduct testing. For many test protocols, we will need multiple samples, design drawings, assembly instructions, material specs, and safety data sheets (for hazardous materials).

If you're unsure what's needed, contact us with your testing goals and we'll specify exact sample requirements and quantities.

How long does testing typically take?

Most standard test protocols can be completed within 3-5 business days from sample receipt. Turnaround time can depend on environmental pre-conditioning, proper basis weight calculations, and reports that you require.

Expedited services are available for time-sensitive projects, and we'll provide a specific timeline once we review your testing requirement.

Do you provide test reports or documentation?

Yes. We are able to deliver detailed, professional test reports with photos, videos (where applicable), and all necessary data to support certification, compliance, or internal quality requirements.
